AARON,
The governor of Minnesota is big on vouchers, which might mean it has a ghost
of a chance. However, a friend of mine heard the education industry called
"welfare for adults" and I'm afraid politically that means that there are
HUGE numbers of people with a vested interest in keeping it just as it isl.
For example, teacher unions, textbook publishers, testing companies just to
mention a few all don't want real change. And everyone is scared to death of
giving kids any real power to control what they learn, so even those schools
that do start probably won't do that. Still, each time somebody does go out
on that limb it gets a little stronger!
